Their pastor tacos are so good! Great service too
Taquerias el Nero was on the top of my list for places to visit in the city. It was definitely worth the long walk over. We tried the tongue (lengua), cheek (cachete), pastor, chuleta (pork chop), tripe (tripa). All the tacos had their meats cooked very well and were very tender. The tongue, cheek, and tripe were our favorites. There were a good variety of salsas to choose from. This taco shop is one of the best we tried while in Playa del Carmen. I highly recommend making a stop here. To note, google maps says they open at 4pm but we had to wait until 4:45pm.
Delicious food and super fast service! Got a huge portion packed with meat for a really cheap price. Staff was friendly and quick, and the whole vibe felt super local—like the kind of place where people from around here actually eat. Just a great spot overall. Will definitely come back!
Amazing place — tacos are 27 pesos each. We had 5 each and they were so good. Come here for no frills tacos.
Excellent tacos at an amazing price. Fast service and friendly. If you're looking for something more than pastor and chorizo this is it. Suadero, lengua, tripa, and others. Large seating area inside, very airy, and some outside seats. Inside is better as it's located on a very busy intersection.
FAST service, good tacos I would rate it 8/10 and top 3 tacos in Playa. Affordable, oh yes, very cheap about 19 mxn pesos (about 1 USD). If you want authentic Mexican tacos and fast service, come here. I reco the suadero, chorizo, and pastor tacos!
